Dear QMplus users,

UPDATE - 25th August, 9:05am: This work is complete and QMplus was brought back online by 9am.

UPDATE: Further to the previous announcement sent below, the QMplus outage scheduled for the 23rd August did not take place and is now scheduled for Thursday, 25th August (*more details below). We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

As before, we expect the outage to take place outside of standard operating hours (7-9am), but there is a small chance that the time may need to be extended (until 10am).

--------

QMplus will experience a short outage on Tuesday, 23rd August, 2016 (7-10am). There is a possibility that the outage may go past the normal at risk time of 7-9am. We have been asked to allow for a 3 hour outage, which would mean an outage from 7-10am. This outage is to allow the new QMplus Media links to be updated.

On Tuesday, 6th September 2016 (7-9am), there will be an outage to QMplus. This outage is being planned to take place during the normal at risk time of 7-9am. This outage is our post-upgrade release, to fix outstanding upgrade issues and add functionality and design updates. Please refer to our September release page for more information.

We apologise for any inconvenience that these outages may cause and thank you for your patience while we update and maintain the online learning environment.

The outage on the 25th August is being planned to allow technicians to update QMplus Media links in QMplus course areas. As mentioned in previous communications, we are moving to a new Media service as our current service will stop working on the 31st August. We have successfully migrated videos to the new Media site but we are currently working on the final step in our process - updating the embedded links in QMplus (see previous announcement for more details about this process - https://2023.qmplus.qmul.ac.uk/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=99298). Unfortunately there were issues uncovered during testing of the link updating process, and we were not able to resolve these in time for outage scheduled on the 23rd August, so this has been moved to the 25th August.
