Welcome!

THE PDP MODULE

This is an introductory course in Personal Development Planning.

Aims

To cover the skills needed for developing your approach to academic study both inside and outside the classroom.

The study skills needed for Higher Education evolve through practice over time, through careful reflection and feedback from others as you move forward. You will be surprised at how your thinking and attitude to learning tasks develop when you focus on learning styles and approaches to group work and classroom activity.

In Semester 1, the focus of the PDP module are academic skills and techniques; communication and interpersonal skills; responsibility, leadership and management skills; academic and professional conduct; critical thinking and reflection; and autonomous learning.

The PDP is an interactive module designed to help you maximise your learning experience and prepare for academic success.
